Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is a Mexican musician who was born into a musical family. She spent most of her youth listening to music from the past and boleros of the past, traditional ranchero or romantic music along with older classical songs. Ana is a fan of Tangos. Also, she loves operas and any form drama. When she was a child, her mother would sing with her, she started more serious training in singing at 16, under the direction of renown Mexican Tenor FlavioBecerra. Her musical education continued at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and later to the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. When she was a student, as well being a young professional in Mexico City and Guadalajara she performed with various chamber groups as well as choruses. After 2000, she emigrated to the United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Later, in 2007, she settled in her new home in Southern California. She is currently a member of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and often performs as a soloist in traditional Latin American music at private occasions. Her passion for the performing arts, music, as well as the arts keeps her engaged in local projects in both her capacity as an artist and instructor. Ana was also a former member of Community Chorus of Redlands as in addition to the Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana loves to sing the traditional Latin American songs and hopes to encourage others to do the same.
