Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The global recognition of his music has helped him break into mainstream Latin music. Una Lady Como Tu, his hit from 2016, won the Colombian Kids Choice Award in 2017 for Best Song. The year 2017 saw the release of ADN which was his debut long-player with La Industria Inc. in Medellin. It peaked at number eight in the Top Latin Albums chart. Vaina Loca, the Top Five hit of Ozuna's Top Five album in 2007 led him to join Ozuna. He collaborated alongside Noriel for Mala Influencia in the year 2020, and the following year released his sophomore album the charting Dopamina. He appeared later in 2021 on a duet TINI on her streaming hit song Maldita Foto. An album release in 2023 with the massively popular La Bachata. Turizo was raised in a musical environment, because both his mother and older brother are professional musicians. In interviews, he has stated that music is a must. When he was a kid, he began learning to play saxophone guitar ukulele and piano. Despite initially wanting to be veterinarian, Julian convinced him that learning with a Cuban singing teacher would change the direction of his profession.
