Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri was an Indian actress who achieved notoriety for her roles in the film Hum Aapke Hin Koun as well as Beta Saajan. The actress began her career in the 1980s and came to prominence with her performance in the film Tezaab where she starred with veteran actor Anil Kapoor. In her next film Dil, Aamir Khan appeared alongside her. Early on, as a child growing up in Mumbai's middle class she started to dance. As a teen, she tried her hand at acting, but most films she attempted to make were unsuccessful. Eventually, she found success in Indian film and climbed to the very top. After her wedding ceremony, she took a break from her acting career until she returned. In recent times, she was a key player in Gulaab Gang about Indian women. Dixit is nominated in fifteen Filmfare Awards. Of these, she has won 8. Padma Shri is the fourth highest civilian honour in India. Her name is well-known for her work in the field of social service as well.
